My First Week Writing for Nanowrimo
57A little more than 12,000 words
Last month, I told many of you that I was going to work on a 50,000 word manuscript in honor of National Novel Writers Month, and that I would be involved in doing this on nanowrimo.com.
Though it has been incredibly difficult to keep this up with work, and writing hubs and everything else that needs to be done in a normal life, I am happy to say that I have written 12,632 words thus far after the first week.
37,368 Words to Go
YIKES! That is a lot... I guess it breaks down to about 1,700 words a day.
Honestly, I knew this would be a difficult task, but I had no idea it would be this difficult. I do want to try my best to complete it however, and I will put in the extra time.
After all, this goal is one of the goals on my bucket list!
It isn't too late for you to start if you are still interested, though it would be more stressful to write 50,000 words in 22 days! Definitely plan for next year if you can't do it this year.
A Mystic Island
Synopsis
Without telling you all the whole story (seeing as how I don't know the story myself yet)... the story is about a girl who survives a plane wreck but lands on a strange but interesting island, where she is known by the inhabitants. Though this is frightening to her, she is also intrigued as she discovers more about her family and friends.
It is in the realm of a fantasy fiction book, which is strange for me because I have generally not enjoyed those types of stories in the past. However, recently I have read some books, like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (which I will write a review about later) which have made me enjoy the realm of the genre a little more.
Well, that is about it, I thought I would just give you all an update :).
Wondering About Nanowrimo?
- Nanowrimo in November Why Not Sign Up?
A couple hubs ago, I admitted that one of my lifetime goals was to write a book, whether it got published or not (though it would be fun if it did get published!). The next day at least I think it was...

All right Lucie..hey way you have to add me on there as a buddy. Same name here as on there!
I hope to follow up. Wish you well.
Oh, I forgot to ask, how did you come up with the plot? I there going to be a chance to read the book on nanowrimo? I don't know the rules.
If you publish it somewhere, please let me know. I'd be the first customer. :D
Thank you. I'm excited about it. If I can ever read your work that will be a happy day. :D I think whoever gets the privilege to read it will learn more about you. :)
Good luck and well done on having completed 12000 words already - you are well on the way!
So what happened to the girl on the island, Luci? Did she fulfill her destiny? :)
